About
First person stealth game inspired by "Hello Neighbor". Control a stray cat that sneaks around a house, searching for the objects the family's baby asks for, while avoiding being caught by the parents.
Developed for the Global Game Jam 2024, with the intention to be developed during the following months.

My contribution
-
Game Concept: This project would continue to be developed during the months after the Jam (as a class project, apart from Scyla). Therefore, we had the challenge of thinking of a game that could be developed during the Jam weekend and that was easily scalable, in addition to being suitable for the Jam's theme: "Make me laugh". We also encountered the problem that we couldn't find and idea that would motivate the entire team, since the programmers wanted to develop stealth mechanics, while my design colleagues wanrted to do something funny according to the them. Finally I came up with an idea that convinced everyone: a stealth game with a great importance of humor, controlling a cat who tries to avoid irresponsible parents.
-
Level Design: Since we had to develop the game in a weekend, the designers were mainly dedicated to the design and assembly of the levels, which had to provide interesting situations using the game's stealth mechanics.
-
Save critical situations!: With less than two hours left to deliver the build, we realized that the stairs did not work, so the upper part of the map could not be accessed, making the game unable to be completed. Since we didn't have time to fix this bug, I decided to duplicate the map, move the copy and "bury" half of this copy, so that the top of the copy was at the same level as the bottom of the original map, solving thus the problem (with the necessary repairs, such as removing some walls or stairs).
